Abstract oil by Neville Trickett. (British 1935-2022)
A superb example of post war, British abstraction. An oil on board by Neville Trickett. The painting shows influences of John Wells, Naum Gabo and Ben Nicholson. It does in fact suggest a very 'St Ives' quality. The paint has been applied, scratched into and then re-worked to achieve a balanced and sophisticated composition.
I love this painting and might suggest that it could grace any good collection of British, abstract painting. Signed and dated 61 bottom right. Housed in a period painted frame which measures: 38cm x 58cm
