This powerful and rather beautifully composed scene has proven to be both a mystery and a delight. Surrealist in style showing a busy tableau of figures and animals. It might be described as theatrical, allegorical or a surreal dream? One thing is for sure, it has been a personal favourite.
Painted in oil onto card with the addition of pen/ink. The top two corners show historical repairs.
