  • This rare lithograph, sat in it's original frame is by Artist and designer Gerald Wilde. The colours are bright and clean. The print is laying free, not taped/stuck but would benefit from pressing to remove some waves.

    Gerald Wilde was born in London. he studied at Chelsea under Graham Sutherland and Henry Moore. A precocious talent achieving key commissions early on in his career. Notably textile designs for Zika Ascher in 1946 alongside Matisse, Andre Derain, Sutherland and John Piper. Solo shows at Hanover Gallery, Serpentine Gallery, October Gallery. Group shows; Redfern, Leicester, hayward Galleries and The Barbican. 

    Held by The Tate and British Council of Great Britain.
