Silvered bronze photo frame by Maison Baguès
A stylish picture frame made by Maison Baguès. This rare and elegant piece was made in France around 1930-1940. The frame would have been cast in bronze and then silvered. The silvering does show age related wear as to be expected but the surface is even and untarnished.
Established in 1860, Maison Baguès has been an emblem of French sophistication, elegance and design. The master metalsmith Noël Baguès founded the company as specialists in liturgical bronzes. Throughout the 20th century, the family company grew into an Internationally respected maker of applied arts and artisan pieces.
