Torso by Enrique Miralda (1933 - 2010)
A powerful sculpture by Mexican artist Enrique Miralda. The piece is cast in bronze and has the most wonderful Verdigris patina. Standing just over 50cm tall, this beautiful torso would grace any interior or indeed, mid-century art collection.
Enrique Miralda (1933 - 2010) was active/lived in Mexico, Honduras. He was a Sculptor of powerful, abstract bronzes. Miralda studied architecture at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and later entered as an apprentice in the workshop of the sculptor Mario Zamora. He was influenced by the work of Henry Moore, whom he met on a trip to Europe.
Most of his commissioned works are found in Mexico City.
